"As publishers for Catholic sacred music and particularly as a general depot "for all Caecilienvereins- Music", Feuchtinger & Gleichauf, music shop and publisher in Regensburg, is known since 1891. The publishing house that served its clientel in the sense of the refreshed sacred music, was founded in the Schwarzen-Bären-Strasse near to the habitation of the doctor and priest Carl Proske. Later on, this man introduced the reform of the sacred music. The so-called “general depot” changed its owners several times. 25 years ago, the diocese owned the specialized enterprise and at the same time, it incorporated the music department of Friedrich Pustet Publishing.
Today Manfred Kern is the owner of this traditional music shop “Unter den Schwibboegen” in the shadow of the cathedral. He daily receives orders from all over the world, because the biggest part of his business today consists in dispatching music sheets of all kinds."
